While there is lots to love about a house in Glen Park, since no list can be infinite (or can it…) here are three things that I think are great about Glen Park, San Francisco:
1) Glen Canyon Park. A little redundant, I know, but the outdoor recreation opportunities are phenomenal. The park offers baseball/softball fields, a children’s playground, indoor recreation center with basketball courts, and a large and “wild” canyon with great trails for taking an urban hike. A great place to stretch your legs and get some exercise, no matter what activity interests you!
2) Commuting and BART access. Glen Park houses are within a short walk of a BART station, which gives you reliable and quick access to downtown San Francisco or the east bay. For those of you headed south to San Mateo or Santa Clara counties, there is direct freeway access to I-280.
3)The Village. The Glen Park village area (centered around Diamond and Chenery streets) offers various dining options, good shopping, a small grocery store, and a relatively new San Francisco branch library. While it is certainly a hilly neighborhood, it is also a very walkable neighborhood filled with friendly neighbors.
