While I may or may not admit to having a thing for planes, I thought it would be only appropriate since we are a San Francisco real estate blog to do a little comparison shopping between the 5,000 square feet on two levels of living space in an A-380 to some San Francisco home currently on the market. I don’t have perfect data to begin with since many agents purposely exclude square footage from their MLS information. Finally, coming in as the largest home (per MLS) currently available in San Francisco we have 3362 Jackson St. in the Presidio Heights neighborhood with 5,800 square feet of living space listed for $10,000,000. With six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and parking for three cars this is the current super-jumbo of homes for sale in San Francisco.
So which one is for you? If falling asleep in San Francisco and waking up in Frankfurt, Germany is a must-have on your home shopping list, then the Lufthansa A-380 is probably your best bet. If, on the other hand, you believe your home should be firmly attached to the ground and not a moveable object then I’ve got some excellent options for you.
And hey, best of all the A-380 makes San Francisco real estate look cheap! With an approximate list price of $375,000,000 the A-380 price per square foot lands at somewhere between $63,238 and $72,872 per square foot!
