Latte Art

Latte Art! Yes, you seriously read that correctly. This evening (July 7) there will be a contest to determine the best art made solely with the imagination of your favorite cappucino-slinger and the foam on top of your yuppy drink.
At the Dolores Park Cafe (corner of Dolores and 18th) this evening starting at 7:00pm (who drinks a cappucino at 7:00pm, but I digress…) there will be a latte art contest to see what kind of awesome artistic endeavors can be created with a cup of coffee and some cappuccino foam!  As you can see from the above picture, there are clearly some rather artistic cappucino-slingers in this town.

In addition to watching what kind of wild creations can be whipped up on a canvas of foam, there will be music provided by the jazz band Stupid Man Suit, and there will be beer, wine and the regular cafe menu to enjoy while soaking up the artistic inspiration.
