At the time of construction, the kitchens in the homes were delivered with Studio Becker cabinetry in a variety of finishes, polished granite countertops with a stainless steel under-mount sink, and stainless steel appliances (electric ranges). Bathrooms featured a Phillippe Starck designed Duravit under-mount sink with marble countertops, Studio Becker cabinets, and Italian ceramic tile floors and shower and tub surrounds.
The building offers an attended lobby, fitness center, roof deck, bicycle storage and on-site parking.
The first home-owners began moving into The Hayes in the Fall of 2007. The architect of record is Heller Manus, which has done quite a few projects in San Francisco, both residential and commercial. The developer was IntraCorp, also known for the Arterra in San Francisco.
