The Hayes

Located at 55 Page St., The Hayes is an eight story building with 128 condominium homes in the heart of Hayes Valley. The development is centrally located, within an easy walk to Muni and BART stations as well as relatively painless access to Highway 101 and I-80. The building has a collection of studio, one bedroom, and two bedroom floorplans, with the mix weighted towards one bedrooms and one bedrooms with dens. Studio homes average about 430 square feet, with one bedrooms averaging 766 square feet and two bedroom homes averaging 1,059 square feet in size. Ceiling height is usually about 9 feet, with the exception of 8th floor and level 3 terrace “penthouses” which have ceilings that are about 10 feet high.

At the time of construction, the kitchens in the homes were delivered with Studio Becker cabinetry in a variety of finishes, polished granite countertops with a stainless steel under-mount sink, and stainless steel appliances (electric ranges). Bathrooms featured a Phillippe Starck designed Duravit under-mount sink with marble countertops, Studio Becker cabinets, and Italian ceramic tile floors and shower and tub surrounds.

The building offers an attended lobby, fitness center, roof deck, bicycle storage and on-site parking.

The first home-owners began moving into The Hayes in the Fall of 2007. The architect of record is Heller Manus, which has done quite a few projects in San Francisco, both residential and commercial. The developer was IntraCorp, also known for the Arterra in San Francisco.
