The fine folks at A9, Amazon’s search company, have launched a new mapping site that gives a street level view (not like Google Earth from way up high) of addresses around the country. Click here to check out the corner of Post & Powell in San Francisco. Then you can use the arrows to scoot all the way around Union Square and see where you could be spending your money if you were shopping right now. I looked up my last house, on 16th St. @ Church; it was there, but alas, my current home is not. When the exact address isn’t available, the site gives you a map of the address and photos of other nearby locations. It’s kinda cool, kinda creepy, and a great way to kill part of an afternoon looking up every address you’ve ever known.
